This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information from two groups of people: HVAC contractors who sign up to use myHVAC ("Contractors"), and homeowners or visitors who interact with the myHVAC widget on a Contractor's website ("End Users").

By using our website or services, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

Information We Collect

From Contractors (via our contact form):

• Name and company name
• Email address
• Website URL and business details you provide
• Any other information you voluntarily submit

From End Users (via the chat widget on Contractor websites):

• Messages and questions submitted through the widget
• Contact information voluntarily provided during the conversation (name, phone number, email)
• General information about their HVAC situation or service needs

Automatically collected:

• Basic usage data and widget interaction logs
• Browser type and general device information

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Set up and operate the myHVAC service for Contractors
• Deliver AI-powered responses through the chat widget
• Send Contractors lead notifications when End Users provide contact information
• Respond to inquiries submitted through our contact form
• Improve and maintain the quality of our service
• Communicate with Contractors about their accounts or service updates

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

End User Data and Contractor Responsibility

When an End User interacts with a myHVAC widget embedded on a Contractor's website, that conversation data is processed by myHVAC on behalf of the Contractor. The Contractor is responsible for ensuring their use of the widget (including the collection of End User contact information) complies with applicable privacy laws and their own privacy disclosures.

End Users should review the privacy policy of the specific contractor website they are visiting, in addition to this policy.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

• With Contractors: End User lead information captured through a Contractor's widget is shared with that Contractor.
• Service providers: We use third-party services (such as AI model providers and hosting infrastructure) to operate myHVAC. These providers process data only as needed to deliver the service.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of myHVAC, our users, or the public.

Data Retention

We retain contact form submissions and lead data for as long as necessary to operate the service and fulfill business purposes. Contractors may request deletion of their account data by contacting us. We will honor reasonable deletion requests within 30 days.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we collect. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

myHVAC is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will delete it promptly.
